You got a golden star in your book yesterday for telling me that she is "a real woman", even though I usually get jelaous when I'm not in the centre.

I remember an ex-boyfriend saying years ago "Wheew! I thought he sung he wanted to be like Grace Jones. Who wants to look like Grace Jones?!"
An odd thing to say, and should probably have been taken as a warning sign, but being the good non-confronting girlfriend I was once upon a time I simply shrugged my shoulders (at the most).

Probably, a lot of people want to look like Grace Jones. At least they should. If you google her you will have pictures of style and creativity filling your screen. Try it!

Einstein on the Beach

Today I went to the library and bought a pile of books that were out of use. One of them (Experimentfälten by Torsten Ekbom) was about pioneers in different artforms, and in the discussion following the purchase of the book E.F. played Einstein on the Beach for me on Youtube (in the meantime he deconstructed a computer to make some art - I do like the variety of his fields of interest!). Music was not bad.

The chapter was partly about the opera, it did sound very interesting, and now I want to see it.

the Gothenburgian shopping spree!

The city becomes prettier and prettier by each day. I would really like to live here, one day, but not now.
Today i went out of the house, took the tram and left the suburbs. And i bought records!

Here’s the list:
SLAGSMÅLSKLUBBEN – BOSS FOR LEADER because it is sweet and sour electronic music.
GARBAGE – VERSION 2.0 because each time i visit David (like yesterday) i demand that he plays them since i don’t have any records by them - until now, that is.
FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY – IMPLODE oh! Because i found this cd (ok, Andreas lent it to me) last week and it was love at first… hm. I have been listening to it every day since. It is the best record in the world these days.
FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY – NEURAL IMPLANT because this is also a very good record by fla.
TOM WAITS – REAL GONE because it is Tom Waits. Never bad. Crazy pirate jazz.
GUS GUS – THIS IS NORMAL because it makes me a bit happy and homesick. Or, eh… you know.
BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB – TAKE THEM ON YOUR OWN because it is blrmc (nice rock from New York, always good to have)

Yep, that’s about it. One step closer towards something!

The Wow and Daniel Johnston

I think, i hope, that i finally got a job. Which is great, since i seem to be one of those who are not well being unemployed. All play and no work makes Malva a dull girl
(oh! New flashback: me and Theresa were on the dancefloor at Sirkus singing along to Beck – Sexx Laws. I haven’t danced as much in ages..)
(ah! Midnite Vultures; such a good record! It is a forgotten favourite of mine that i have to buy/put on my birthday present wishlist asap. My newest favourite is Daniel Johnston. Quite different from Beck but quite quite good. Absolutely brilliant, actually. Stebbi had the documentary about him; we watched it yesterday. Johnston’s art reminded me of Halldór's, who I will hopefully meet on thursday, and inspired me to be more creative. Tonight i finished another hat - huge one on request).
