These Days

…are good days.
But uh, you know, it always gets harder to write a post the longer you’ve not been blogging. Did this sentence make any sense? I suppose i’m excused; today i went shopping (rainbow panties and writing on laptop all evening wohoo!) with Anne and Hanna and spent a lot of time and money in Smáralind. What else? Butterflies (they tickle a bit but are kind of fun) and pain (probably malnutrition; I only eat bread and pastries but try to drink some orange juice every now and then) in stomach. I’ve taken a bath. The tub is full of pubic hairs and i was surprised to see that i have so many left. Seriously, the water was full of them! They might be some creatures made out of Keratin that start to breed as soon as they get in contact with water… i don’t know. The hair on my head is also growing; last week it fell down over my eyebrows and insists on staying there. I might cut it.

Aha! Bækur. Jag gillar böcker. Joost came over on saturday and lent me “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”, and i’m already reading two other books but couldn’t resist starting on this one. So far so good. Talked about books with Stefán on sunday and met Gudni later on to get my Dorian Gray back. And to have some tea, of course.
My oh my, how i like Oscar Wilde...

“All art is at once surface and symbol.
Those who go beneath the surface do so at their own peril.
Those who read the symbol do so at their own peril.
It is the spectator, and not life, that art really mirrors.
Diversity of opinion about a work of art shows that the work of art shows the work is new, complex, and vital.
/…/
All art is quite useless.”

It just so happens that I own and have read Fear and Loathing... and it's quite brilliant. I couldn't help reading it with Johnny Depps voice narrating it in my mind. I'm also currently reading Dorian Gray, but it's coming on slowy due to exams, studying etc. 'Hope all is well.

Are you still in the greatest in the world (Iceland)?
